David Arthur Vidito

Vidito, David Howard, 69, Truro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 25, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Middleton, N.S. he was the son of the late Howard and Dorothy (Sabean) Vidito. David was a taxi-driver in Trenton, ON for many years. Upon his return to Nova Scotia he worked at Superior Propane and later at Kenwood Kitchens until retirement. He loved fishing, hunting and Chinese food; was an avid Blue Jay’s fan and enjoyed going for drives. David was an active member of the Lion’s Club for over 29 years. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, and grandfather and will be also sadly missed by his two cats. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, D. Betty (Hill); daughter, Angela Coles, Trenton, ON; step-daughters, Joanne (Danny) MacCoul, Chester Basin, Lori McPhee (Darren Stonehouse), Truro, Lorraine Smith (Blaine), Hope, B.C.; step-son, Kelly (Michelle) Adshead, Truro; sisters, Rosalie Tansey, Niagra-on-the-Lake, ON, Sandra Cruickshank, Trenton, ON; brothers, Dwight, Truro, Fred (Marilyn), Trenton, ON, Douglas (Leanne), Oshawa, ON; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by sons, David and Kevin and infant son Douglas; step-son, Richard; sister-in-law, Edie Vidito; brothers-in-law, Don Cruickshank, John Tansey.
