Lorraine Margaret Nugent, 90 of New Glasgow, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Robertson) Zwicker.
She will be remembered for her gentle kindness and smart wit, and will be missed by all her children.
She is survived by her children, Eleanor “Pug” Talbot, Stellarton; George (Norma) Kitson, Barrie, Ontario; Bonnie (Jim) Henderson, Westville; Michael (Susan) Nugent, Halifax; Karen (Ross) Tugwell, Linacy; Heather MacKenzie, Belleville, Ontario; Brent Nugent, New Glasgow; Brian Nugent, New Glasgow; 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter Viola Melanson, grandsons Robbie Henderson and Robert Michael Kitson, a granddaughter Jo-Anne Kitson, a brother George MacKenzie, sisters Ella MacKenzie and Ola MacKenzie.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation by request.
A private memorial service will be held at the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel at a later date.
Burial will take place in the Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow.
Donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
