On September 25, 2011 Olive Jacobson passed away at the Overlander Extended Care Hospital at the age of 88 years.

She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Chaffey of Edmonton, Catherine Williamson of Kamloops and Diane Wozniak of St. Albert, Alberta, her seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Olive was predeceased by her son George.

She was born October 18, 1922 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 1933 she immigrated to Canada, settling in Edmonton. She resided in Vancouver, 100 Mile House before coming to Kamloops in 1992. She loved to cook and over the years owned three restaurants.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Overlander Extended Care Hospital, 953 Southill Street.
