On September 24, 2011 Mr. Jack Lawrence (Larry) Duncan passed away peacefully at the Royal Inland Hospital at the age of 81 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Noella (Pat), his daughters Wendy Merrick of Vernon, Bonnie Watson of New York and Kelly Walton of New Jersey; his sons Greg (Dixie) of Kamloops, Gordon (Heather) of Kamloops and Scott Walton of New York; thirteen grandchildren and his brother Jim (Ruth).

Larry was predeceased by his first wife Joan, parents Matilda and David and his son-in-law Scott.

Dad was born in Waskada, Manitoba in 1930 and he moved to Salmon Arm at the age of 20. He married Joan Reed in 1956 and moved to Vernon while surveying for the BC Government on the Trans Canada Highway throughout the Okanagan. They moved to Kamloops in 1961 and he began a career with the Town of North Kamloops and then the City of Kamloops, as City Planner. He was a very proud member of the Engineering Technologists and recently received a 40 year Certificate.

Dad was a very kind, generous, gentle soul and loved by everyone who met him. He will be greatly missed and remembered always.

No formal service by request.

A family Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Kamloops.

Should friends desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Unit 111, 450 Lansdowne Street, Kamloops, BC V2C 1Y3 in memory of Larry would be appreciated.
