MOORE, MILDRED A. - Mildred A. Moore of Springfield, York Co., NB passed away at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on September 26, 2011. Born at Scotch Settlement, NB in 1931, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Vera (Brewer) Sharpe. Mildred was a member of the Springfield Pentecostal Church for over 60 years. She was employed for several years as a hostess at Kings Landing. Mildred is survived by her children, Ruth Calhoun (Rev. Irvine), Old Town, Maine, USA, Patricia Cole (Gordon), Harvey, NB, Lois MacDonald (Scott), Springfield, NB, Louise Swift (Brian), Fredericton, NB; two foster children, Cindy Bailey and Billy Bailey; ten grandchildren, Kevin Calhoun, Andrew Calhoun (Jennifer), Trudy Prosser (Corey), Tony Cole (Cora), Fred Cole (Natasha), Kenneth MacDonald (Karen), Billy MacDonald, Malcolm MacDonald (Ashley), Carrie MacDonald and Leanna Swift (Cody); nine great grandchildren, Justina, Tiffany, Seth, Ayden, Landon, Brooklynn, Declan, Hailey and Jacob; two sisters, Mabel Ingraham (Arnold), Lr. Hainesville, NB and Marion Brewer (Rev. Conrad), Upper Queensbury, NB; six brothers, Merle Sharpe (Florence), Fredericton, NB, Harold Sharpe (Sylvia), Keswick, NB, Raymond Sharpe (Madeline), Zealand, NB, Elwood Sharpe (Annis), Scotch Settlement, NB, Cecil Sharpe, Burtts Corner, NB and Allen Sharpe (Sheila), Moncton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Moore in 2000 and a son Kenneth in 1976.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. George Clark and Rev. Donald McCarty officiating. Interment at Scotch Settlement Cemetery.
