STEVENS, VIOLA - The death of Viola J. Stevens of Saint John, NB, wife of Harold Stevens occurred on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born April 4, 1923, in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Ella (Chedore) Connolly. Viola was employed with MRA’s for twenty five years, and was a member of the Trinity Anglican Church. Besides her husband Harold of 34 years, she is survived by step-children, Karen Ring (Ron), Gail Fewer (Martin), Richard (Susan) all of Saint John; sisters Doris Casey, of Saint John, Betty Godin (Cedric) of Ontario, and Joan Ryan of Saint John; sisters-in-law, Marie Connolly of Cambridge Narrows, and Patricia Connolly of Northern New Brunswick, six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Viola was predeceased by brothers James and Leonard Connolly, and sister Rosalie Ewart.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visiting on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 am. A private family interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
