RICHARD, ANN ELIZABETH (DeWOLFE) - Ann Richard (our precious mom) of Moncton passed away on Tuesday morning at the Moncton City hospital at the age of 87. Born in Newcastle, N.B. on June 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Corinne DeWolfe of Nordin. Ann attended St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church in Moncton. Ann was a stay at home mom, she taught religion classes at her home and she also volunteered at the library at the Beaverbrook school reading to the children. She loved to play cards with her friends in Newcastle; she also enjoyed knitting for her family and others. In the past year she looked forward to playing bingo with her family on Wednesday evening. Ann will be sadly missed by her three sons Brian (Vicky) Miramichi, Larry (Ruth) Shediac, Ralph (Debbie) Miramichi, her six daughters Linda Beal (Reg) Upper Coverdale, Judy Russell (Brian) Moncton, Diane Stacey (Kevin) Moncton, Paula (Ted Cole) Shediac, Wanda McLean (Doug) Pennfield, Joan Poitras (Marcel) Moncton, daughter-in-law Norma (Fenelon) Richard Winnipeg and her 18 grandchildren, and 28 great grand children, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Ann was predeceased by her husband Lionel, son Keith, grandson Jesse McLean, brothers Joe, Earl Jr, Pete and a nephew Wayne DeWolfe.
Visitation will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi on September 29th, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm (ONLY). Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on September 30th, 2011 at St. Samuel’s Church Miramichi. Interment will take place at a later date. As expression of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a memorial of donor’s choice.
