HARTLEN, CPL. RODNEY - 1951-2011 - Cpl. Rodney Francis Hartlen, of Oromocto, NB, beloved husband, father, and brother passed away peacefully at the age of 60, on September 28, at the Oromocto Public Hospital with family and friends by his side. Born in Dartmouth, NS, he was the son of the late Gerald and Doris (Sheaves-Urquhart) Hartlen. Rodney served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Traffic Services for 29 dedicated years. His passion for law enforcement showed through his work; his professionalism and knowledge was unparalleled. Rodney is survived by his wife Patricia (Melanson), two daughters; Krista (Chris) and Jamie Lynn, both of Oromocto, a sister, Deborah (Keith) Sinclair of Moncton, his step-father, Allan Searle, two grand-daughters; Jessica and Jenna Lockyer, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, NB (869-2007), on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. The funeral service will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1pm with Rev. Karl Ingersoll officiating. The interment will take place at Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview.
