LONG, DONALD HAMILTON - The passing of Donald Hamilton Long of Doaktown, NB, husband of Myra (Russell) Long occurred on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 17, 1945 in McNamee, NB, he was the son of the late Garnet and Elizabeth Long. In addition to his wife, Donald his survived by his children, Donald Jr. (Tara) and April Gilmore (David Miller); seven grandchildren, Tessa, Connor, Cormac, Tryn, Todd, Jesse and Devon; sisters, Catherine Calhoun and Jean Johnson both of Ontario; brothers, Morgan “Jimmy” (Roberta) of Douglas, NB and Gary Long of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Church, New Bandon, NB on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. David Storey officiating. Interment will take place in Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery, Doaktown, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Kidney Foundation.
