It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Frobrich (MacDonald) 58 on Sept. 28, 2011, at the Etobicoke General Hospital with her devoted family by her side.
Born in New Waterford and raised in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Rod and Bernetta MacDonald. Marion attended St. John’s New Aberdeen and St. Michael’s High School in Glace Bay. After high school she moved to Toronto and settled in Etobicoke where she devoted her life to her family. Marion was a valued employee and worked at McDonald’s for many years.
Marion is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Fred and her son, Walter; sisters, Mary (Doug) McDonald, Toronto, Reynelda MacDonald, Fredericton, N.B.; brothers, Rod (Trudy) MacDonald, Glace Bay, Michael (Sharon) MacDonald, Sydney, Miles MacDonald, Sydney; mother-in-law, Herta Frobrich, Toronto and brother-in-law, Alexander McDonnell, Ajax, Ont. Marion is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her sister, Colleen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice. Viewing will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Turner Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. West, Toronto, Ont. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m.
