It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maurice Ernest Verrecchia announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the age of 73 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Florence (Snow); two daughters: Susan Verrecchia of Montreal, Diane (Blake) Gabriel of Stephenville and one brother, Jack (Dorothy) Verrecchia of Montreal; two sisters: Mary (Late Hansen) Roberts of Montreal, Lucy Gloria (Late Norman) Lane of Kippens; two grandchildren: Emma and Eric Gabriel and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Emily Verrecchia and his sister, Carmen Scott, his brother, George Verrecchia Jr. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Sunday, October 2nd from 7-9 p.m. Cremation will take place before Funeral. Funeral Mass will take place at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Tuesday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m. with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
