POWER, Maurice Francis — Died peacefully at the Health Sciences Complex, surrounded by his loving family. Maurice Francis Power, aged 93 years 11 months, formerly of Colinet Island and Clarenville. Maurice is predeceased by his loving wife, Eileen (nee Mealey), parents Leo and Elizabeth Ann, sisters Hannah, Ellen and Hilda (Michael Szokol), and brothers Albert, Henry (Anaes), Aiden (Ann), Arthur (Olga) and Francis (Anita). Leaving to celebrate his life are his daughter, Jacqueline (Alphonsus Whiffen), sons Paul (Peggy) and Mark (Shelley Parkhouse), granddaughters Lindsay and Hannah, and brother Fr. Patrick Power (Kansas City, Missouri) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday, October 1st, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 3rd, 2011 from St. Pius X Church at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
