It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Eddie Hindle at home on Sept. 30, 2011.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Ann (MacSween) Hindle.
He was employed as a truck driver until his retirement while in his earlier years he drove a school bus. His pastime was raising farm animals and spending time in the garden.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Jackie (Jardine); his son, Edward (Jennifer); his three precious grandchildren, James, Michael and Emily all of Quispamsis, N.B. He is also survived by his four sisters, Jo (John) Hanna, Toronto, Ont., Caddie MacVicar and Marge (Delbert) Hulford, both of Sydney, Chrissie MacLean, Marion Bridge; sister-in-law, Sandra (Richie) Jury; brother-in-law, Wally (Wilena) Jardine, both of New Victoria; special niece, Malissa; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his two sisters, Jessie Brookman, Norma Smith and his brother, Donnie.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. today (Monday, Oct. 3) at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. A memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Reception to follow. Interment to take place in Sandfield Cemetery, Marion Bridge.
