Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on September 30, 2011, after a short illness, Amy Louise Peyton (nee Anstey), in her 91st year - pioneer resident of Gander, author, craftsperson, florist, and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Predeceased by beloved husband Ernest, parents Dunley and Kate Anstey, sisters Mabel Dickson, Lucy Keeping, and Flora Broderick (Francis - deceased). Left with wonderful memories, her family: daughters, Carol (Gerry Fitzpatrick), and Evelyn (Joe Murphy), St. John’s; sons, Dunley (Ann), and Brent, Gander; Kent, St. John’s; cherished grandchildren: Grant Fitzpatrick, Mount Pearl; Leigh (Marilyn) Fitzpatrick, Regina, SK; Dana Murphy (Jeff Power), Mount Pearl; Andrea Murphy (Tim McGrath), St. John’s; Bradley Peyton, Los Angeles, CA; Amanda (Brian) Noseworthy, Yellowknife, NWT; cherished great-granddaughter Maria Fitzpatrick. Sisters: Marjorie Haynes (Wilfred – deceased); Rose Walsh (Aiden – deceased); Daphne (John Chafe); Brother: John Anstey (Julia – deceased); and Brother-in-law: Hiram Keeping; a large circle of other relatives and friends, especially her friends at the Golden Legion Manor and the Nightingale Manor, Gander. A special thank you to her caregivers at the Nightingale Manor; Dr. Carmel Casey; and the paramedics, doctors and nursing staff at the James Paton Memorial Hospital.
