POIRIER, LORRAINE - Lorraine Poirier, 94, formerly of North Street in Moncton, passed away on Sunday October 2, 2011 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born on December 17, 1916 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Marie (LeBlanc) Richard. She is survived by four children: Michael (Gaylea) and Suzanne Cormier (Maurice), both of Fredericton, Murielle Dallaire (Marc) and Peter (Sherrill), both of Moncton; one daughter-in-law: Pat Poirier of Moncton; one sister: Alice Haché (late Sylvio) of Dieppe; nine grandchildren: Janice, Ginette, Lisa, Marc, Nicole, Charlie, Ross, Pierre and Lynne, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence (1972), one son, Paul (2009), two great grandchildren: Kaleb and Sophie, as well as several sisters and brothers.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
