Jennie Bell Ripley age 103 passed away on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 at Gables Lodge in Amherst.
She was born on March 28th, 1908 in Sackville, NB and was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Estabrooks) Napper.
Jennie was a member of Trinity - St. Stephen's United Church as well as a past member of the JOY Club.
Over the years Jennie, along with her husband raised Labrador Retrievers and attended numerous dog shows and belonged to the Kennel Club.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Jennie was a wonderful mother and will be dearly missed by her son, Raymond (Carolyn) and daughter, Joyce Crawford both of Amherst; five grandchildren, Stephen, Gordon, Karen, Alan, and Lynn; six great grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Kiley, Johnny Ray, Julie and Jennie; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband, John; two brothers, Fred LeRose and Jimmy Napper.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery, where Jennie will be laid to rest beside her husband.
In lieu of flowers donations in Jennie's memory may be made to the Cumberland VON.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst (667-9906).
