MAILLET, MATHIEU - Mathieu Maillet, 20, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 7, 1990 in Moncton, he was the son of Annette Arsenault and Denis Maillet. Mathieu was a student at Université de Moncton. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Melanie Maillet at home; his maternal grandmother: Gérarda (Lyda) Arsenault of Notre-Dame; his paternal grandparents: Rosarine and Irois Maillet of Moncton, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Alfred Arsenault. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Samad and his staff at the Moncton Hospital, Dr. Kew and her staff at Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, the staff of the extra-mural, the Moncton Lions Club and everyone for all the support and donations received.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday October 6, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where a sharing of memories on Mathieu's short life will be celebrated commencing at 8 pm.
