ILENE ELIZABETH WRIGHT
1907 - 2009

Ilene Wright; beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday, October 16, 2009.

Ilene was predeceased by her loving husband Frank, son Robert and granddaughter Melissa.

Ilene is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Sharon Cotter, granddaughters Suzanne (Brad) Tiessen and Jennifer (Taylor) Parsons and her precious great granddaughters; Alexis, Halle and Olivia.

Ilene was born in Stratton, Ontario on March 8, 1907. She spent her childhood in Stratton prior to moving with her family to New Westminster in 1923. It was here that she met and married her husband and soul mate and raised her family. After the family was grown, Ilene and Frank enjoyed their leisure time gardening, walking, visiting family and taking many wonderful holidays in their trailer.

After Frank's passing, Ilene moved to Kamloops to be closer to her daughter and her family. She spent several enjoyable years at Ponderosa Place, prior to moving to Berwick on the Park.

Ilene will be remembered as a very generous and gracious lady who loved her family deeply. We are grateful for her love and all the wonderful memories. We will miss her feisty spirit and inquiring mind - she never missed the six o'clock news or an opportunity to discuss current events.

Her family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Montgomery and the staff on Six South at R.I.H., Dr's; Filek and Chung and their staff for their years of kindness and care, Berwick on the Park for providing a comfortable home and the extraordinary staff at Hospice for treating Ilene with respect and making her final weeks comfortable.

With respect for Ilene's wishes, there will be no formal service held. The family requests that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice House, 72 Whiteshield Crescent, Kamloops, BC, V2E 2S9.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Justin Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services. Interment will take place at the Fraserview Cemetery in New Westminster.
