BROWN, Randall Kenneth “Randy” - 52, of Coldbrook, Kings County, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Kentville, he was a son of R. Ken and Joyce Brown, Coldbrook. He worked as a contractor. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Ryan Brown, Acadia University, Wolfville; a sister, Tamilyn Brown, Aylesford. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation, by request. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Rob Friars, April Griffin and Shelly Boscoe for all their help these past few months and especially the last couple of weeks and to everyone who brought food to help us in our time of need. Also, we would like to thank the nurses at the Valley Regional Hospital, especially Wendy, Jane and Barb, along with Dr. Burch, Dr. Sinclair and Dr. Gunn and the Victorian Order of Nurses, the Palliative Care Team and the Cancer Clinic at the V.G. Hospital. Randy will be sadly missed by his family and friends but know he’s finally at peace and in a better place.
