It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eva Patricia McDonald (nee Duke) announce her passing at Lakeside Homes in Gander, NL on October 2, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Eva was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1975; infant daughters, Elizabeth (1947), and Rose Marie (1949); and son-in-law Joseph Sutton (2009). Left with fond and loving memories are her sons, Jack (Barb) of Grand Falls-Windsor; Ron (Judy) of Oakville, ON; Dennis of Guelph, ON; and daughter, Linda Sutton of Gander. Eva also leaves to mourn grandchildren, Jackie Arts, Dennis and Paul McDonald, Andrea Chan, Stephen and Natalie Sutton; and great-grand-children Madison and Sidney Arts, Asher and Ryder Chan, and Charlie and Eva Sutton. Fr. William Houlihan conducted the Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Pallbearers were Ron Southcott, Leo Dormody, John Hamilton, John Whalen, Lawrence Ducey, and John O’Rielly. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Michael Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
