GRASS, NEIL A. - Neil A. Grass, 79, of Riverview, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday evening, October 3, 2011. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Hazen and Laura (Howland) Grass. Neil was the founder of the Grass Home, Riverview; a member of St. John’s United Church, Moncton; a member and past Master of Keith Lodge # 23 F. & A.M. and past District Grand Master of New Brunswick. Neil will be sadly missed by his daughters, Deb Howie (Scott), Sue McNulty (Joe), Laurie Ware (Tyler); son, John (Lynn); loving grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Ashley, Andrew, Alex, John, Reid, Sarah and Ben; precious great grandchildren, Carine, Elise, Brooke; sisters, Pauline Albanese (Mim), Welland, ON, Linda Pyne (Wayne), Hanwell; brother-in-law, Vaughn Charters, New Maryland; several nieces, nephews and loving extended family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Messer) Grass (June 2003) and one sister, Charlene Charters.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Keith Lodge #23, F. & A.M. Memorial Service Thursday evening, 6:30 pm. Funeral Service at St. John’s United Church, Alma St. on Friday October 7, 2011, 2:00 pm, Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment, Alderwood Cemetery.
