The death occurred at Welland, Ont. on Friday Sept. 30, 2011 of Mary Ellen Hinks (nee Aylward) formerly of Pleasant View, PE aged 69 years. Mary Ellen was born on Feb. 25, 1942 to her late parents Austin and Alma (nee Donahue) Aylward. Beloved wife of Ted and loving mother of Donna (John) Peters, Grimsey, Ont., Todd (Heather), Madoc, Ont., Jason and Rachel Hinks of Welland, Ont. also lovingly remembered by grandchildren MacKenzie and Hayden Peters, Avery, Nevan, Tristen and Jesse Hinks. Dear sister to Jean Blanchard, Charlottetown, Austie (Theresa) Aylward, Leoville, Noreen (Barry) Shead, Ottawa, Ont., Phyllis (Freddie) Shea, Alberton, Florence (Leo) Malone, St. Catherine, Ont., Lois (David) Harper, Tignish, Carol Keough, London, Ont., Betty (Gerard) Ready, Joey (Peggy) Aylward, Wayne (Nettie) Aylward, David (Marlene) Aylward all of Pleasant View and Donna (John) Tamiuck, Welland, Ont. Funeral service in Welland Home Chapel on Oct. 15, 2011. A memorial service will be held in Palmer Road, PE at a later date.
