Eleanor MacDonald (nee Lamont) of Roseneath, age 92 years, peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Moodie MacDonald.
Survived by her children: Gladys MacIntyre (Armand Gaudet), Kenneth (Glenda), Donald and Gary (Carla); grandchildren, Michele (Alex Rogers), Steven (Kate), Craig (Ellen), Andrew (Jennifer), Kari, Mandi, Robert (Brianne), Taylor, Neil and Duff MacDonald; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Kristie Rogers, Violet, Maeve, Ellie Anne and Miles MacDonald; brother and sisters, Catherine (Walter) Hyrnick, James MacLean, Irene (Edward) Huskins; special sister-in-law, Peggy Lamont; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Harding and Sybil Smallman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by daughter, Eleanor Elizabeth; parents, Malcolm and Gladys Lamont (Nee VanIderstine) and stepfather, Alec MacLean; brothers, Chester, Alexander (Sandy), Ralph, George MacLean and Donald Lamont; sisters, Margaret Nicholson and Ruth Bowley.
Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home for visitation on Friday 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Montague, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Montague Community Park Cemetery.
