It is with great sadness the family of the late David Murray Amos age 68, of Amherst and formerly of Sackville announce his passing on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at home.
Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of the late Murray and Phyllis Amos.
He worked for Enterprise Foundry in Sackville for many years retiring in 2006. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and the outdoors.
David is survived by his wife the former Mary Lorette, one daughter Carrie of Amherst, brothers Denny (Janice) and Leslie both of Sackville, Reg (Norma) of Alberta and Randall of Hamilton, ON, sisters Ruth (Louie) Hicks of Sackville and Margaret (Walter) Melanson of Danvers, Mass. and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. in Campbell\'s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst. (667-9906)
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 2 p.m. from Campbell\'s Chapel with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Memorial donations in David\'s memory may be made to the VON or the Canadian Red Cross Society.
