DUNHAM - The family of Edwin Eugene Dunham, 71 years of age, wish to announce his passing on Monday, October 13, 2009, at the St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Paul (Edna) Dunham , Saskatoon, SK, Vernon (Arletta) Dunham, Waldeck, SK, Eldon (Carol) Dunham, Waldeck, SK; his sisters, Pearl Lofthang, Sturgis, SK, Alice Wall, Brandon, MB, Vera (Franklin) Anderson, Waldeck, SK; a brother-in-law, Marshall McColl, Neidpath, SK; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ole and Hilda Dunham; a brothers, Marvin Dunham, Elwood (Lillian) Dunham; a sister, Margaret McColl; brothers-in-law, Ben Wall, Walter Lofthang; and by a nephew, Bob Dunham. Edwin was born on the family farm north of Waldeck, SK, along with his twin brother, Eldon, on August 12, 1938. He attended Spenst School. After finishing school, he worked for various farmers. After his father’s passing, he farmed while living at home with his mother. After her passing, he continued farming until his health problems no longer allowed him to. He then rented out his land to his nephew. Edwin did some traveling to Hawaii and various parts in Canada and the USA, which he really enjoyed. He had many interests some of which included yard work, carpenter work, building and remodeling his home, wood working in his garage, sports on TV, hockey on the radio and fishing with his twin brother and nephew. Edwin greatly enjoyed and appreciated visits from neighbors, friends, nephews, nieces and family. The Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 11:00 am from the Swift Current Funeral Chapel, Swift Current, SK. The Interment Service was held at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK, with the following serving as pallbearers, Todd Dunham, David Anderson, Rodney Dunham, Gerald Dunham and Robert Habscheid. In Memory of Edwin Dunham, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Charity of the Donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were in care of Swift Current Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK.
