82, passed peacefully away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in the presence of his beloved wife Theresa (nee Fitzgerald). Leaving to mourn children: Anne Clift (Tom), Gerry Marshall (John Furlong), Brian (Doreen), John (Linda), Marie Snippa (Rocky), Pat Dunphy (Garry), Jim (Rhonda) and Susan Flanagan (Chris); brothers: Harold “Bud” and Pat (Josephine); brother-in-law Edward Fitzgerald (Rita); sister-in-law Mary Marshall; Also left to remember him fondly are 25 grandchildren: Sarah R. (Scott), Jim, Susan S., Allison (Tim), Julie (Alex), Heather, Evan, Joannah, Sarah F., Holly, Matthew, Luke, Maria, Craig, Conor, Samuel, Liam, Sarah D., Ben, Ryan, Joshua, Marie, Jennifer, Jill and Declan; great-grandchildren: Liam and Owen; special friends: Irene Feehan, Theresa Osmond and Frank and Mary Lake; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Forever thankful to the staff of Escasoni 2 West and Dr. Paul Jackman. Predeceased by parents Agnes and Ronald, brothers Ronnie and Bernie. Dad was longtime owner/operator of General Traders Ltd. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Rd. to take place Thursday Oct. 6 from 6-9 pm and Friday, Oct. 7 from 10 am-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10:00 am at Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Rd. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Queen of Peace Food Bank or a charity of your choice.
