MERRILL, ALICE MAY - The passing of Alice May Merrill of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Shannex Nursing Home. Born on May 2, 1927 in Gagetown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lulu (McKee) Brooks. She worked as a LPN at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was affiliated with Cross Point Wesleyan Church.
Alice is survived by her children, Sharon (Alden) Clark of Miramichi, NB, Richard (Sandy) Merrill of Toronto, ON, Shawney Merrill of Fredericton, NB and Tanya (David) McCrea of Sussex, NB; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Valerie Merrill; brothers, Edison, Percy, Ralph and James.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, October 09, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Conard Symonds officiating. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery.
