MAYNARD, Phillis Bernice - 73, Truro, passed away suddenly Friday evening, October 7, 2011, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born April 1, 1938, in Brookfield, she was a daughter of the late William and Florence (Boomer) Maynard. Phillis is survived by her granddaughter, Juli Farewell (Scott Johnston), Truro; great grandson, Brett Farewell, Truro; sisters, Helen Tanner, Mae Schurm, Ontario; brother, Donald (Shirley) Maynard, Bible Hill; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kathy Maynard; sisters, Dorothy, Jessie, Hazel; brothers, Walter, Art, Percy, George. She will be missed by her precious cat, Midnight. All are invited to attend a graveside service that will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in Brookfield Eastside Cemetery, Carter Road, Brookfield. If so desired, donations in Phillis’ memory to Lung Association of Nova Scotia or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
