BLAIR, RUSSELL FREDERICK - Russell F. Blair of McAdam, NB passed away October 8, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Russell was born in McAdam, NB in 1931, a son of the late Russell and Nellie (Nason) Blair. He was employed for 39 years with CPR as a clerk and was an associate member of Branch 7, Royal Canadian Legion, McAdam. Russell loved time spent at his cottage on Magaguadavic Lake and especially enjoyed sharing giggles with his grandkids. He is survived by three daughters, Fonda French (David), Charters Settlement, NB; Lisa Avery (Ron), Daytona Beach, Florida and Tina Holmes (Ken), Calgary, AB; a son, Christopher Crandlemire (Cleo), Holden, Maine; his grandchildren, David, Johnny, Kenny, Angie, Amanda, Adriana, Calli and Destiny; his great grandchildren, Preston, Brayden, Lucas and Joel; three sisters, June Charters, Helen Tracy, both of McAdam, NB and Violet Stright (Donald), Cape Tormentine, NB and his twin brother, Robert Blair, McAdam, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Russell was predeceased by his wife, Deborah I. (Scott) Blair, a son Skipper Diffin and six brothers, Alfred, Calvin, Gerald, Leon, Wayne and infant Holly.
Visiting hours will be held at Voice of Pentecost Church, 82 Harvey Road, McAdam, NB on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 12 noon until the hour of service at 2 p.m. Rev. Stephen Tompkins will officiate at the service and interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery.
