FULTON, WALTER SIMMONS, M.M. - Walter Simmons Fulton, M.M., passed away at Pine Grove Nursing Home on October 9 in his 97th year. He was born in Fredericton, NB, on November 29, 1914, son of the late Thomas and Maude (Simmons) Fulton. He is survived by daughter Shirley Ann and her husband John Bowles; son Tom and his wife Susan Chin, and their son, his grandson, Roger, all of Fredericton. Walter was predeceased by his wife Marion (Peterson) in 1996. He was also predeceased by sisters Lorna Cove and Geraldine Smith and brother Donald Fulton. Walter volunteered and went overseas in 1939 with the Carleton York Regiment - 1st Canadian Division. He served in England, Sicily and Italy. While serving in Italy he was awarded the Military Medal (M.M.) and returned to Canada in 1945. He was a retired civil servant.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 12th at 1 PM in the Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Bob Jones officiating.
