Stanley Ronald Thornley "Ron" 80 years young passed away October 18, 2009 in Kamloops, BC.

He was born January 13, 1929, in Vancouver, BC to Stan & Elva Thornley of Kamloops.

Survived by his brother Marvin (Merlyn - 2003) Thornley, nephews, Russ Thornley (Jenny), Mark Thornley (1997), Jim (Deb) Thornley and niece, Judy (Bruce) Nichol.

Ron spent life loving the outdoors. Fishing and Hunting were his main passion. He was a mechanic by trade in the Kamloops area for around 40 years. He retired back to Heffley Creek area for some years tending sheep and working the irrigation system on the Bedard's Ranch. In the late 90's he moved to the Glenfair Retirement home until about 6 years ago. He then was taken in by a caring couple Steve and Peggy Campbell of Pritchard, who lovingly cared for him until his passing. We as a family would like to thank you for all your wonderful hospitality and love you shared with our Ronnie.

Also we would like to thank Dr. Baker his family doctor of all these years.

He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

There will be a Graveside Memorial on Monday, October 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 750 Notre Dame Drive.
