Passed peacefully away on October 20th at the HSC following a brief illness, aged 88. Predeceased by her husband Roy J. O’Brien, founder of O’Brien’s Music Store, daughter Janet Marie, brothers Harold, Gordon, Frank, Alex and Eric, sisters Dorothy, Rita and Jean. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, her beloved family: Dorothy (Walter Milley), Maureen (Ted Rowe), Gordon (Rhonda), Mary Rosarii (Ian Wright), Roy (Deanna) and Anna (Gerald Tapper); her eleven grandchildren who adored their Nanny, and five (soon to be six) darling great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Martin; sisters-in-law: Helen Crocker, Bertha Crocker and Marie Blackwood; brother-in-law Bill Miller, as well as a large extended family and many friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Thursday 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church on Patrick Street, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by burial at Belvedere Cemetery. The O’Brien family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of 3rd floor West, St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their kindness and care during her stay. We would also like to thank the nursing staff of the Emergency Department and Orthopedics 4 South B at Health Sciences Centre.
