Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home on Saturday, October 8, 2011, of James “Charles” MacDonald of Orwell, age 81 years.
Dear father of Jeannie Campbell, Jim (Judy), Michael (Jeanie), Dougie (Cindy) and Alan (Janice). Beloved grandfather of Rob, Shawn, Jamie, Johnathan, Candace, Meghan, Marc, Joshua, Kristopher, Jill, Kyle, Maddy and Chelsey and 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Wilbur (Marie), Marcellus (Sheila, Ronalda (James) Whalen, Augusta (Don) Harriman, Ignatius (Ita) and Gloria (Cyril) Chapman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by wife of 50 years Joan (nee Murphy), parents Leo and Helen, brother Ronald and sister Gloria, sisters-in-law Lonna, Pauline.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
The Knights of Columbus will be offering prayers at the funeral home Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
