At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, October 10, 2011, of Velma Jean Docherty MacKinnon (nee Currie), New Haven, age 90.
Beloved wife of Foster MacKinnon, mother of Carl Docherty (Rita, deceased), Joan Stainton (Keith). Grandmother of Sean Docherty (Johanna) and great-grandmother of Liam and Erin. Step-mother of Janice MacPherson (Rod) and step-grandmother of Andrew (Janice), Shelli and Matthew. Sister of Rena Riley (Tom, deceased), Glen Currie (Mary, deceased) and Gage Currie (Ellen, deceased). Sister-in-law of Katherine Currie.
Predeceased by her first husband Earl Docherty, by her sons Vincent, Daniel and Graham Docherty, by her siblings Christine Radmore (Lorne), Donald Currie, Colin Currie (Sophie).
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Funeral Thursday from Kingston United Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
