PURSEY, ROBERT “BOB” - Robert “Bob” Phillip Pursey, loving husband of Alice (Wright) Pursey, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 13, 2011. Born 1937 in Saint John he was the son of the late Frederick and Letitia (Peacock) Pursey. Besides his parents he was predeceased by son Phillip Pursey. Bob worked as a Steelworker for the Saint John Shipbuilding Ltd for 36 years. Besides his loving wife Alice of 56 years, he is survived by his sons Robert Pursey (Deanna) of Hampton, James Pursey (Tina) of Hampton and Mark Pursey (Heather) of Kingston; daughters Pauline Estey (Kevin) of St. Martins and Pamela Burhoe (Ian) of Hampton; daughter-in-law Sharon Pursey of Quispamsis; brother George Pursey (Elsie) of Manitoba; sister Joan Stafford of Saint John; nine grandchildren Vanessa, Justin, Joey, John, Andrew, David, Amy, Duncan, Kirsten, Madeleine and Skylar; two great grandchildren Colby and Julia; several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no visitations. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Saturday, October 15, 2011 a 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
