CRAFT, ALVIN - The death of Alvin Blake Craft, age 79, husband of Phyllis (Welton) Craft, of Craft’s Cove, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. He was born on March 16, 1932, the son of the late Herbert and Florence (MacDonald) Craft. Alvin is survived by his wife Phyllis; daughter Cathy McCrea of Craft’s Cove; son Brad and Nancy Craft of Salt Springs; grandchildren Laurie McCrea and Bart Nason of Oakville, ON, Graham McCrea of Bonnyville, AB, David McCrea of Shannon, Danielle Craft and Ben of Norton, Justin and Nicole Craft of Salt Springs; great grandchildren Shyanne, Makenzie, Taylor and Cohan; sister Madeline and Norman Bevans of Shannon; brother Donnie and Dawn Craft of Belyea’s Cove; sisters-in-law Geraldine Wiggins of Lincoln, Margaret Hay of Chipman, Betty and James Nowlan of Burlington, ON; brothers-in-law Reg and Calvin Welton of Waterboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Miles.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Saturday, from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. A celebration of Alvin’s life, conducted by Jock Otis, will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.. from Sherwood’s Chapel. Following cremation, interment will take place at a later date. Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
