GELDART, FRANCES GENEVIEVE - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Frances Genevieve Geldart of Saint John who passed away on October 10, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her daughter at her side. Born February of 1922 in Saint John to the late Thomas and Pearl (Herrington) Ryder. Frances was a wonderful cook and took pride in feeding friends and family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a lifetime member of the Bayside Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Frances was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter Myrna and adopted daughter Kimberley Martin, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents Frances was predeceased by her husband Melvin, adopted son Barry Geldart, sister Flora Slipp, twin brother Frank and brother Ray.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday October 29th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Private family interment to take place at a later date. Donations in Frances’s memory can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the SJRH, Watch Tower Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
