Surrounded by her loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, of Barbara Anne Waite-McKinnon, of Wilfred Street, Miscouche, aged 61 years. Barb worked for 41 years as a school secretary at Elm Street and Parkside Elementary schools and retired in April of 2007. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of Ruth (Mugridge) Waite, Summerside, and the late Erskine Waite. Survived by her husband, Eric McKinnon, son, Kyle (Sheila) Bernard, Charlottetown, daughter, Bryeanne (Scott) Steele, Summerside, brother, Roger (Mary Anne) Waite, Bedford, N.S., sister, Shelley (John) Prendergast, Fredericton, N.B., stepchildren, Andrea (Dave) Maher, Miscouche, Michael Matheson, Brantford, Ont., Terry McKinnon (Stacey Tucker), Summerside, Lora (Arthur) Stewart, Chelton, Desmond McKinnon, Summerside, grandchildren Colton and Wyatt Steele, stepgrandchildren, Joey Reeves, Jordan, Shelby and Cole McKinnon, and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her infant daughters, Megan and Genaya. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Sunday, then to Trinity United Church, Summerside, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment in will later take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
