MILES, Jessie F. (nee Howell)– of Port Vue, Pennsylvania, died December 1, 2008 at Riverside Care Centre in McKeesport, PA. Born September 13, 1936 in St. John’s, NL, she was the daughter of the late Jabez and Beatrice (Collins) Howell and the wife of Charles M. Miles of Port Vue. Mrs. Miles was a member of Bryn Mawr Church of Christ, attended the Busy Hands Group and was a regular volunteer at church functions. Jessie had many, many friends and spread love wherever she went. In addition to her husband, Jessie is survived by sons Collin of Port Vue and Leonard of Glassport , PA.; granddaughters Jenna, Meghan and Breanna; sister Pearl (John) Deering of Bishop’s Falls, NL: brother William (Barbara) Howell of St. John’s, NL; niece Nicole; nephews Jason (Elaine), Richard and Terrance; great-nieces Shanna, Desiree and Miranda; great-nephews Richard (Chantelle) and TJ; special friends Jackie, Barb, June, Beverly and Norma; and a circle of relatives and friends. Jessie was predeceased by her parents, four sisters and a nephew. Family and friends were received at Willig Funeral Home in McKeesport Wednesday, December 3, 2008 with service at 8 p.m. Inurnment at McKeesport Versailles Cemetery Friday, December 5, 2008.
