It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Lainey announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the age of 78 years. She will be sadly missed by seven sons: Raymond (Mary) of Fox Island River, Roy (Linda) of Stephenville, Hillary (Mona) of Black Duck Brook, Joseph of Black Duck Brook, Billy (Theresa) of Winterhouses, Tony (Linda) of Alberta, Patrick (Laura) of Winterhouses; eight daughters: Carolyn (Reg) Reeves of St. John’s, Geraldine (Miven) Felix of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Pat (Dan) Agnew of Italy, Bernice (Ralph) Benoit of Fox Island River, Cathy (Kevin) Woodside of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Judy (Norm) Bainbridge of Alberta, Lisa (David) Dickson of Ontario, Roxann (Bill) Natte of Halifax, Nova Scotia; two brothers: Joseph (Evelyn) LeRoy of Point au Mal, Yves LeRoy of Stephenville; two sisters: Rina Hynes and Patricia LeRoy, both of Fox Island River; 31 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Lainey Sr.; two sons: Francis and Yves Lainey; brothers: Francis, Leo, George, Paul, Douglas, Hughie, Johnny LeRoy and two sisters: Rita and Louise. Cremation has taken place and friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Winterhouses. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
