GUNTER, CLIFFORD - The death of Clifford Robertson Gunter, husband of the late Olla (Miller) Gunter occurred in the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Saturday October 15th, 2011. Born in Jemseg, NB on May 28th, 1912, he was the son of the late Harry Gunter and the late Medora (Robertson) Gunter. Clifford was a member of the Jemseg Baptist Church. Clifford is survived by his sister, Elsie (Dave) Brewer; step-daughter, Kathryn (Lloyd) Hetherington; step-grandchildren, Angela (Brian) Weepie and Shawn (Cindy) Hetherington; step-great grandchildren, Ella, Alyssa, Georgia and Tristen. He is also survived by his nieces, Karen (Alan) Jones, Kim (Gary Bona) Brewer and nephew Christopher Brewer as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Clifford was a Resident of Terrances on Cliff, Fredericton and Gagetown Special Care Home. He was a life long resident of Jemseg, enjoyed gardening, music and bus trips. In addition to his parents and his wife, Olla, he was predeceased by brother Walter Gunter.
Visitation will take place at Oromocto Funeral Home on Monday, October 17th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Jemseg Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 18th, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dan Walton officiating. Interment in Jemseg Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin McLean, Ronnie McLean, Bert Farris, Gilbert Farris, John Gunter and John Farris.
