McLEAN, OTTY - Mr. Otty McLean of Apohaqui, passed away on October 16, 2011 at the age of 86. Born in Belleisle Creek, he was the son of the late Edwin and (Alvretta) Clark McLean. Otty is survived by his wife Annie, his children: Shirley Leiper (Allen) of Sussex, Edwin (Sharon) of Riverbank, Barbara Gallant (Lester) of Penobsquis, Wanda MacArthur (Burt) of Apohaqui, Russell (Sandy) of Penobsquis, Wellington (Patty) of Hammondvale, Annette Cruickshank (Blynn) of Roachville, Tony (Darlene) of Norton; his sister, Dorothy Caunter of Sussex, his sisters-in-law, Myrtis McLean of Foxhill, Dot McLean of Hillsborough, Millie McLean of Edmonton, Alberta; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren: as well as several nieces and nephews. Otty is predeceased by his son, Douglas, his brothers: Charlie, George, Sheldon, Spurgeon, Levi and Angus and by his sisters: Beatrice Gowan, Hazel Williams, Sylvia Crawford and Blanche Williams. He will be sorrowfully missed by all.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church on Tuesday from 1 to 3, 6 to 8pm. A Celebration of Otty’s life will be held from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 11:00 am. A private family interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery followed by a time of fellowship with the family at the Church.
