The funeral Mass for Maria Kennedy was held on October 8, 2009 at St. Anne's Church, Glace Bay with Father Leo Boone officiating. We would like to thank Father Leo Boone, the choir and the servers of St. Anne's Parish for their compassion and reverence during Maria's final farewell. Thank you to the reader nephew Michael Kennedy, to the pallbearers, nephews Kenny Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, Jimmy Kennedy and nephew-in-law Bill Delaney, grand nephews Michael Kennedy and James Kennedy. Thank you to the parish for hosting the reception following the funeral. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Glace Bay Hospital who cared for Maria, the caregivers who came to the house, McGillivray Funeral Home for their kindness and professionalism, the neighbors, friends and relatives who sent food, flowers, cards and visited the house. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Lastly we would like to thank our nieces, nephews and their families for their love and kindness now and throughout our lives.
