Helen Jane Campbell (nee Emberley) at age 94, on Sept. 7, 2011, in Victoria, B.C.
Born in North Sydney, Cape Breton on Nov. 3, 1916, the third child of the late Patrick and Beatrice (McCarthy) Emberley, Helen lived most of her adult life in and near the city she loved, Toronto; moving to Victoria six years ago.
Helen was predeceased by the love of her life, Peter Bernard of Sydney, and her beloved son, Glenn Michael, two brothers and seven sisters.
Left to mourn are son Joe (Linda) of Vancouver; daughter Judith Taylor of Victoria; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and dear sister, Theresa (Jim Richardson) of Mississauga.
Interment and celebration of life will be held at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga, Ont. on her birthday, Nov. 3.
