Eileen Nichols

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eileen Pearl Nichols announce her passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on Oct. 16, 2011 at the age of 82. Eileen received commendation from the Kidney Found-ation of Canada for her volunteer work with them. She was also a member of the Embroi-dery Guild, held an avid interest in hockey, figure skating, and loved to spend time at Badger Lake with her family and friends. Eileen was predeceased by parents, Stanley and Sandra Jane Bursey; brother, Gerald; sisters, Vera Bauld, Beatrice Cooper, Joyce Bursey, Nita Stockley; and grandson, Christopher. Left with fond and loving memories are husband, Harry; sons, Harry Jr. (Geri) of St. John’s, Glen(Beverly Cassell) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Bryan(Lorraine) of Grand Falls-Windsor; and daughter,Doris
“Dolly” (George) Hart of Grand Falls-Windsor. Also leaving to mourn sister, Faith (Sim) Middleton; brothers, William (Marg), Russell, and Ronald Bursey; brothers-in-law, Gord Nichols, Harry Stockley; sister-in-law, Joyce Bailey; grandchildren, Sheri (Devin) Cameron, Tracy Nichols, Jill (Todd) Blake, Frank Nichols, Adam Nichols, Douglas (Mia) Nichols, Michael Hayes; great-grandchildren, Benjamin & Jaxon Blake, Beth Cameron; and a large circle of family and friends. Rev. Randy Lockyer conducted the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry, Glen and Bryan Nichols, George Hart, Frank Nichols, and Adam Nichols. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
