RECTOR, Carol Ann – 52, Debert, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born March 8, 1959, in England, she was a daughter of Brian (Step-Mother, Jean) Pullen, England, and June (Lay) Pullen, England. Carol loved to spend her summers gardening, going for Sunday drives with her husband, Ross, and having picnics with her family. She was a member of the Bluegrass and Old Time Music Society. Along with her parents and step-mother, she is survived by her husband, Ross; daughters, April (Brian), Angela (Corey); son, Andrew (Jodi); granddaughters, Brianna, Brooklyn; sisters, Susan (David), Christine (Brian), Sara (David), Katie (Craig), Jenny (Paul) and the Hartling family. She was predeceased by her common-law husband, Emerson Hartling. Carol’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Smith, the Palliative Care team and the Colchester East Hants Hospice Society. Thanks also to the many relatives and friends who supported and visited Carol in the hospital. All are invited to attend a graveside service 2 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Mahon Cemetery, 8480 Highway 2, Great Village, Pastor Ken Fillmore officiating. If so desired, donations in Carol’s memory to Colchester East Hants Hospice Society or Palliative Care Unit, Colchester Regional Hospital are welcomed.
