Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on Friday, October 23rd, 2009, after a short battle with Lymphoma. Anthony (Tony) Francis Murphy, age 50 years of Portugal Cove, formerly of Logy Bay. Predeceased by his father John Murphy Sr. Leaving to mourn his wife of 15 years Kathy Murphy (Thornhill); step-children: Christina and Arthur; grandchildren: Gavin and Chloe; mother Catherine Murphy; brothers: James (Kelly), Paul (Bev), Gary (Betty), Bernard, John (Shirley); sisters: Mary (Charles), Linda, Cecilia (Paul); nephews and nieces Chad, Kimberley, Scott, Krista, Christopher, Michael, David, Justin, Angela, J.J., Natasha, Ryan, Kenzie, Jamin, Madesyn, Ashley, Stephen and Cody. Also a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Friday, October 23 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday, October 24 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 26 at 10 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Outer Cove. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
