Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital, Bell Island on October 19th, 2011, Agnes Burke, age 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Benedict, sons Terry, Larry and Norbert, sisters Theresa, Kathleen and Annie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Theresa Allan (Robert), Pauline Boone (Sean McLean), Angela (Bram Bickford); sons: Brian (Doris-deceased), Ed (Gert), Cyril (Lillian), Kevin (May), Bill (Gail); 17 adored grandchildren; 19 cherished great-grandchildren; sisters: Loretta, Mary Ryan (Jack); brothers: Jim (Anna), Edward (Mary); a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially dear cousin and friend Susanna Clarke (Gerald). Deepest gratitude is extended to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital for the loving care, with a personal touch, that was given to our mother during her stay. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island. Visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Saturday, October 22nd at 1:30 p.m. from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bell Island. Donations in Agnes’ memory may be made to the Healthcare Foundation- Dr. Walter Templeman Health Centre .
