EYE, DOROTHY EVANGELINE - Dorothy Eye passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 at her home in Halifax following a brief illness. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late John and Winnifred Guild. She is survived by her daughters Jane (Nine Mile River, NS); and Barbara and her husband Philip Pineau (Hunter River, PEI); her sister Jean Webber; sisters-in-law Barbara Eye and Joyce Graham; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George Eye and her brother Robert Guild. Dorothy graduated from Saint John High School in 1940 and the Saint John General School of Nursing in 1949. She moved to Halifax in 1959 when her husband was transferred with the RCMP. In 1974 she went to work at the IWK Hospital for Children, retiring in 1988.
A memorial service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church on October 6th, 2011
