Passed suddenly away at his home on Friday, October 23, 2009. Gerard Walsh, age 80 years old of St. John’s, retired CN Railway worker. Predeceased by sister Helen Coleman and brothers Tom and Dick Walsh. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife of 50 years, Catherine (Dunn); sons: Gerard (Michele), Donald, David (Carol), Stephen, Brian (Faye) and Barry (Carolyn); daughters: Janet Walsh and Cathy O’Neill (Tony); grandchildren: Frank (Kim), David, Crystal, Danielle, Michael, Christina, Miranda, Lindsay, Morgan, Anna, Clare, Braedan and Daniel; great-grandchild: Ashleigh; sisters: Carmel (Jim) Barrett and Patricia Walsh; brothers-in-law: Tom Coleman, Reg Dunn (Dolly) and Gerald Dunn; sisters-in-law: Glenys Dunn and Frances Dunn and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday, October 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, October 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road.
